Box Hill Zig Zag Road
Group Coordinate Node — Dorking, Surrey
Location History & Background
Engineered deliberately to mimic the classic high-altitude switchbacks of the Swiss Alps, the Zig Zag Road was paved across the face of Box Hill to provide a smooth, scenic ascent. It rapidly evolved into a legendary performance testing strip, challenging riders' low-speed chassis management and balance parameters for nearly a century.
Club Activity & Riding Style
This is a premium technical laboratory for motorcycle handling. It is heavily populated by riders on agile parallel twins, nimble 125cc learner platforms, and naked streetfighters practicing precise counter-steering, trail braking techniques, and rapid left-to-right body weighting transitions.
