Newlands Corner
Group Coordinate Node — Guildford, Surrey
Location History & Background
Perched high on a ridge of the North Downs, Newlands Corner has been a premier tactical staging ground for motorists since the earliest days of combustion sports. Offering panoramic views over the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it became a massive gathering point in the mid-20th century for riders wanting to sync up before diving south into the technical lanes of the Weald.
Club Activity & Riding Style
On any sunny weekend morning or warm summer evening, the expansive open-air gravel parking sector acts as a massive pop-up motorcycle exhibition. Because of its location directly off the famous A25 sweeping corridor, it attracts massive mixed-CC grids. It is normal to see learner-legal 125s alongside midweight 600s and pristine, track-prepped 1000cc weapons trading handling notes.

Ride Leader Briefing
The open gravel requires a solid sidestand puck if your machine is heavy. Use this spot as a cooling-down node after negotiating the tight switchbacks from Dorking.
